Flat Rate

Flat rate is a fixed shipping fee that can be applied per item, or per shipment. When the method is enabled, flat rate always appears as an option during checkout.

ScandiPWA supports the shipping method and respects the back-end setting for it:

FIELD	STATUS	DESCRIPTION
Enabled	SUPPORTED	Determines whether the shipping method is available on the storefront.
Title	SUPPORTED	A title that identifies the Free Shipping method during checkout.
Method Name	SUPPORTED	Describes this shipping method on the storefront.
Type	SUPPORTED	Determines how flat rate shipping can be used. Options: None - Disables the payment type. The Flat Rate option is listed in the cart, but with a rate of zero—which is the same as free shipping. Per Order - Charges a single flat rate for the entire order. Per Item - Charges a single flat rate for each item. The rate is multiplied by the number of items in the cart, regardless of whether there are multiple quantities of the same, or of different items.
Price	SUPPORTED	Determines the price that you want to charge for flat rate shipping
Calculate Handling Fee	SUPPORTED	Determines how the additional handling fee is calculated. Options: Fixed Percent
Handling Fee	SUPPORTED	Determines the handling fee rate according to the method used to calculate the fee. For example, if the fee is calculating based on a percentage, enter 0.06 for 6 percent. If using a fixed amount calculation, enter the fee as a decimal.
Displayed Error Message	COMING SOON	Determines the message that appears if free shipping becomes unavailable. NOTE! Currently, if the method is not available, ScandiPWA will show the "Method not found" error on the storefront.
Show Method if Not Applicable	SUPPORTED	Determines if the method is visible on the storefront if it is not applicable. Options: Yes - Always shows the Free Shipping method, even when not applicable. No - Shows the Free Shipping method only when applicable.
Ship to Applicable Countries	SUPPORTED	Determines for which countries the method is available. Options: All Allowed Countries - Customers from all countries specified in your store configuration can use free shipping. Specific Countries - After choosing this option, the Ship to Specific Countries list appears. Select each country in the list where free shipping can be used
Sort Order	SUPPORTED	Determines the number of the position of the method in the list of all available shipping methods during checkout.
