ScandiPWA uses placeholder images until the permanent images become available. By default, the Magento logo is used as a placeholder, but you are welcome to replace it with an image of your choice for every image role.
Go to Stores → Settings → Configuration
Expand Catalog → Catalog → Product Image Placeholders
Upload a preferred placeholder image for each image role
When complete, save and refresh invalidated cache types.
